Spicy Jalapeno Sloppy Joes

Ingredients:
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1-3/4 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup water
- 1-1/2 tbsp white vinegar
- 2 tbsp Silver Spring Jalapeno Mustard
- splash of Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 3/4 tsp kosher salt
- 3/4 tsp cayenne
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
FOR SERVING:
- hamburger buns or pretzel rolls
- 8 slices cheese of choice
- 2 jalapeños, sliced
- crispy fried onions
Directions:
Heat olive oil in a dutch oven over medium to medium-low. Add in the diced onions and garlic with a small pinch of salt. Stir and cook 5-8 mins or until softened. Add in the ground beef, cook until no longer pink. Add in ketchup, water, vinegar, Silver Spring Jalapeno Mustard and Worchestershire sauce. Add in the sugar, salt, cayenne, paprika and black pepper. Stir, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.Top buns with a few spoonfuls of the meat mixture, top with slices of cheese, add slices of jalapeño and crispy fried onions. Replace the top bun and serve.
